AI & TECH
Rippling has opened a dedicated AI Lab in Bengaluru as it expands its investment in AI and engineering operations in India. The company is hiring across several AI and engineering functions, including research, machine learning, backend and platform engineering.
Rippling has launched a new AI Lab at its Embassy Tech Village campus in Bengaluru, creating a dedicated research and engineering group focused on advancing AI capabilities across its business software products.
The AI Lab will work on key areas of Rippling’s AI platform, including infrastructure, evaluation systems, sandboxing, scaling and latency optimization. The group will develop platform capabilities designed to support AI features across Rippling’s products.
The new lab builds on Rippling’s existing technology infrastructure, including its Employee Graph, which connects information related to employee identities, reporting structures, permissions, governance and company policies. The company says this shared data model enables its AI systems to access relevant business information and perform actions within existing permissions and audit processes.
According to Rippling, its AI can handle parts of employee onboarding by carrying out tasks such as applying relevant tax rules, arranging account access, shipping devices, enrolling employees in benefits and directing approvals to the appropriate stakeholders.
The Bengaluru launch is part of Rippling’s broader investment in AI and its operations in India. The company established its India operations in 2017 and now has nearly 2,500 employees in the country, with plans to increase its workforce. Rippling is also expanding its Bengaluru presence at Embassy Tech Village, taking its total workspace there to 170,000 square feet.
The company is hiring for its AI Lab across AI research, applied AI, backend engineering, platform engineering and machine learning. Available positions include senior engineer, principal engineer and engineering leadership roles.
