The cancellation and rescheduling of NEET UG 2026 has become one of the biggest examination controversies in recent years, raising serious concerns about the security of India’s national testing system. National Testing Agency announced that the re-examination for:

The decision comes after the agency cancelled the original examination held on:
- May 3, 2026
following allegations of:
- Question paper leaks
- Exam irregularities
- Organised cheating networks
The controversy affected:
- Lakhs of medical aspirants across India and overseas centres.
Government Orders Investigation
The:
- Central Bureau of Investigation
has been directed to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the alleged malpractice surrounding the examination.
Meanwhile:
- Dharmendra Pradhan
is expected to address the issue publicly regarding the re-examination and investigation process.
Why NEET UG 2026 Was Cancelled
According to investigators:
- A so-called “guess paper” containing around:
- 410 questions
was allegedly circulated among students:
- Between 15 days and one month before the exam
Officials claimed:
- Around 120 Chemistry questions reportedly matched the actual examination paper almost exactly.
Authorities also said:
- The material was circulated through:
- WhatsApp groups
- Coaching networks
as little as:
- 42 hours before the exam.
Rajasthan Police Leading Initial Probe
The investigation is currently being handled by:
- Rajasthan Police Special Operations Group

said investigators are examining whether:
- The document was simply a coaching test series or:
- Part of a larger organised cheating racket
Authorities have reportedly conducted:

- Questioning
- Digital investigations

Social Media & Coaching Centres Under Scrutiny
Investigators are also reviewing:
- Social media videos
- Coaching institute materials
- Shared question papers
linked to coaching centres in:
- Latur, Maharashtra
Officials said similarities between the leaked material and actual NEET questions raised serious concerns regarding:
